Traveling with "Hyur Service" is a great opportunity to confess your love, propose or just spend time together in the most romantic corners of Armenia. Today we invite you to take a walk around Yerevan: we have created a route for a day and presented a list of the best places to spend a date.
Lovers' Park
This is one of the favorite places for couples in Yerevan, which has remained so for more than 100 years. The park appeared in the 18th century – then it was known as Kozern Gardens (after the name of the Kozern District). In 1949 it was renamed "Pushkin Garden", in 1970 – "Barekamutyun" ("Friendship") Park, in honor of the friendship of the peoples of the USSR. And only in 1995, after the declaration of independence of Armenia, the park officially received the name that had long existed among the people.
Lovers' Park
In 2007, a project was launched to improve and redesign the park according to the design of Swiss architect Pierre Rambach based on traditional oriental gardens. It is a beautiful oasis in the center of a modern metropolis with a number of sculptures, an artificial lake with two islands, as well as waterfalls. Total area of the park: 1.6 hectares.Location: along Marshal Baghramyan Avenue, next to the building of the National Assembly of Armenia.
Singing-dancing fountains on the Republic Square
This is a beautiful show that takes place daily from April/May to September/October, the exact schedule depends on weather. The fountains work all day long, the lighting and music are turned on from 20:00/21:00. Tuesday is a sanitary day.
Fountains on the Republic Square
The complex was built in 1953 by the order of the party leader Gregory Harutyunyan. At that time, these were simple fountains, but since the early 60s, a group of Armenian engineers started to develop a system for synchronizing water jets, lighting and musical accompaniment, and in 1970 the fountains began "singing". For their unique development, the team received the State Prize of the Armenian SSR.
Now the fountains dance and sing to the unique hits of the 20th-21st centuries.
Cascade Complex with a view of Ararat
Cascade is called one of the symbols of Yerevan – it is a huge staircase with five terraces, from the upper tier of which a beautiful view of the city and Mount Ararat opens up.
The complex houses Cafesjian Center for the Arts: an exhibition of contemporary art that can be seen both on the open terraces and inside the Cascade. The last two floors of the staircase are still not finished, but even what remains is enough to witness the original vision of a garden city – the harmony between man and nature. If you have never been here, be sure to include it in your list of attractions.Location: Tamanyan str., opposite the Opera and Ballet Theater.

English Park and Planetarium
English Park was founded in the middle of the 19th century by the order of Governor Astafyev. It used to be a place of rest for the secular society of Yerevan with its measured prosperous life, perhaps that is why the park was called English. In the early 2000s, its territory was significantly reduced, part was given over to the park of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan. But the modern English Park has managed to preserve its beauty and authentic atmosphere. It seems as if you have been transported a couple of centuries into the past, when people did not depend on gadgets, did not race for a career and spent time on leisurely walks.
English Park and Planetarium
One can observe the ancient fountain, read the inscriptions on the monuments and visit the planetarium to "rise to the stars". Planetarium offers immersive space shows under a dome screen, featuring themes like the origin of the universe, solar system, and space missions. A great place to relax and explore the cosmos right in the heart of the city!
