Bonsoir Anna,

Dear visitors of this web-site and HyurService team,
I would like to express - as reasonably and impartially as possible - the review of my stay in Armenia from May 02, 2011, to May 09, 2011, with the assistance of HyurService.
General Organization:
First of all, it worth noting that before my arrival I was clearly explained by Nina Daduryan about all material and immaterial aspects of my stay, and was given some practical advices, so possible disappointment upon arrival was excluded. Since I had only a couple of days to decide on the particular dates of my visit and desirable attractions, it was really useful and helpful that Nina was very quick in her e-mail responses. Once I landed in Zvartnots I was immediately picked up by HyurService s mini-bus ('original' passenger van - Mercedes Sprinter) and lifted to Ani Plaza Hotel - perfect decision because the hotel is only in 5min walk from HyurService's main office. Very important - book your hotel via HyurService - the rates are significantly lower than at the hotel per se. Checked.
HyurService has lots group guided tours across Armenia, usually 3 different tours per day (so you won't be left bored if you'd already been at some place) at the price which is more than reasonable and adequate (especially given the fact that prices include attraction tickets), compared to others, believe me I spent long hours in searching this matter. A tour is accompanied with English, Russian and Armenian commentaries - depends on a group content - however, I also noticed the staff is also fluent in other European languages.
Group tours are serviced by nearly new air-conditioned mini- and midi-buses (Mercedes, Temsa, Higer), which, considering Armenian mountain roads, appear much more suitable and manoeuvrable, again compared to other firms having all those long MBs/Neoplans only. Drivers are calm and confident. The thing I liked mostly is that during a tour usually there is a lunch stop at Armenian restaurant. For the sake of time efficiency, standard menu (with up to 5 different meals) is given and explained by the tour guide during the trip, however, you are welcomed to choose from the restaurant's menu as well. Cool spring water and sweet buns available at the bus are very tasty as well. At each attraction place first you have a guided tour and then given some free time (20-50 mins). Should you look for a deeper and/or more independent approach - you may prefer individual guided tour, serviced by Skoda Octavia sedans. I have spoken with those practiced it - they were happy as well.
Thus, under five-mark grading system HyurService has 'five' in organization, without any exaggeration.
Staff:
I guess, the staff is the most valuable and pleasant feature the company possess. Literally all - tour guides, reservation managers, drivers, assistants - are very professional, helpful and friendly. Even in rush situations and even with the tourists accustomed to behave impudently (who ever been in the well-known capital of the well-known country :) understand what I mean). It might be argued that the firm is simply doing its business so they smile to you cos you pay them, but believe me, I had a chance to face staff from many well-known travel companies and hotels across Europe/Russia/Turkey - all those western-styled automatic smiles and 'thank-you'-s are simply cannot hold a candle to the atmosphere of true kindness and home environment the HyurService Staff always produces. It is because these people shouldn't have to pretend - the kindness is their inborn merit, that's hard to play - either you have it or not. That is why conversations with them are comfortable and efficient.
So, again, my amplest and best regards to all whom I personally know - Nina, Marianna, Lilit, Shushanna, Tatevik, Karine, Levon and all you, guys, I may forget to mention. Thank you for your efforts and diligence.
Drawbacks:
The only bad thing to mention is that it is very hard to leave Armenia - a museum in the open air, an atmosphere of kindness and simplicity, relaxation and good mood, surrounding of people you may fully rely on, a place where you should not fight a defensive action, - that is what you are easily become accustomed to, so it is quite difficult to fly away.
Summarizing, I wholeheartedly advise you to let HyurService organize your stay in Armenia. I'm not to tell HyurService is the best-of-the-best in their field (simply cos of lack of official surveys), though I won't be surprised if they are, and I'm obviously not to feed you with all those well-sounding marketing phrases, but do contact them, go to their office - they are very flexible and have a huge potential to suffice your individual needs. You will not be disappointed, for sure. As for me, next time I will refer to them again, without any doubts. Simply because they have everything I need: good organization, lots of informative and interesting tours (and not boring history lectures), friendly and kind people and their ability and willingness to assist.
Should somebody of you is still waving and cannot decide on whether to come to Armenia or if you are still figuring out which travel agency to select - you may refer to me by e-mail indicated above and I will be glad to share with you any information I have.
Kind Regards,
Simon Abramyan.

Hi Nina,
My wife and I just wrapped up a 10-day private tour arranged by Hyur Service. We were totally impressed by the professionalism shown by the employees of the company, from Nina, who was my contact person and who set up the itinerary according to my interests (mainly archaeology); Alla, our fantastic English-speaking guide whose knowledge and enthusiasm made this one of the most memorable trips of our lives; and Vartan, our driver who navigated us around some pretty serious potholes without mishap. We recommend using Hyur without hesitation. Some tips: stay at Villa Delenda in Yerevan- wonderful rooms (especially Erebuni or Ani), great breakfast, wonderful people, good value and central location; eat ponchik (cream-filled beignets) at Grand Candy on Mashtots St, at the foot of the Matenadaran; visit in May or October for optimal weather; and go to all the sites offered by Hyur, especially Garni, Geghard Monastery, Tatev Monastery and Noravank Monastery
