Mount Aragats, the highest peak in Armenia, rises to 4090 meters above sea level, majestically dominating the Armenian Highlands. Its irregularly shaped crater is crowned with four summits, stretching skyward like the petals of a colossal stone flower: the northern peak reaches 4090 m, the western 3995 m, the eastern 3908 m and the southern 3888 m.

Aragats impresses not only with its scale but also with its natural treasures: at 3250 meters lies the enchanting Lake Kari, embraced by alpine meadows and rugged cliffs. Its crystal-clear waters and perfect shape make it a true jewel of the mountain landscape. Human presence on Aragats dates back to prehistoric times and its slopes still preserve monuments of different eras – from ancient fortresses to unique khachkars.

In summer the mountain is adorned with carpets of wildflowers, while in winter it turns into a kingdom of snow and ice. From its summits open breathtaking views over the whole of Armenia and even neighboring lands, making the ascent a dream for climbers and adventurers. Aragats unites the power of nature, the echoes of history and inspiring beauty, remaining a timeless symbol of pride and greatness for the Armenian people.

My name is Anahit Ghazaryan, and since 2015 I have been in a state of love! I am in love with Armenia, and I always want to talk about it! Come visit! I guarantee it will be beautiful, easy, delicious, and fun! Let's discover Armenia together, enjoy it, and fall in love! I don't like legends and tell them only when absolutely necessary, and only those that feature real historical figures! Since I was born in the middle of the last century, I talk about some events not as a historian, but as a witness!
