The highest point of the ridge is Mount Teghenis, which rises 2851 meters above sea level. From its summit, unforgettable panoramic views of the Armenian Highlands unfold and on clear days Lake Sevan and even the majestic Mount Ararat can be seen. In spring the slopes are adorned with blooming meadows, in summer it is pleasant to walk along cool trails, while in winter Teghenis turns into a paradise for lovers of snowy adventures.
The Tsaghkunyats Ridge preserves many natural mysteries and legends that live on in the stories of the locals. This is an ideal place for hiking, photography and for those seeking solitude far from noisy cities. What to expect
- Hiking duration: 3-4 hours
- Distance: 9.3 km
- Difficulty level: easy
- Elevation: ↑683 m ↓683 m (1960-2543 m above sea level)
- Season: end of April – November
- You will be guided by most skilful instructor, whose services are foreseen for a group consisted of up to 10 people. In case of more participants extra sum is to be charged
- Recommended items in your hiking checklist: hiking boots or shoes, hiking backpack, wear-resistant socks for walking long distances, windproof jacket, fleece jacket, trekking poles, sсunglasses with a factor of at least 3, sunscreen SPF50, headgear, breathable light trousers, long sleeves T-shirt, thin fleece gloves, first-aid kit. The list can be shortened or supplemented based on personal experience
