Mount Armaghan, rising 2829 meters above sea level in the Gegharkunik region, is a majestic dormant volcano. In summer its slopes are adorned with colorful carpets of alpine flowers, turning the ascent into a journey through a fairy-tale garden. The rocky path to the top is full of charm and each step reveals new panoramas of mountain landscapes. At the summit, travelers encounter a hidden wonder – the small Lake Armaghan, nestled in the crater of the volcano. Its tranquil surface mirrors the sky and surrounding slopes, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere. Nearby lies an ancient sanctuary, reminding us that Armaghan was revered as sacred even by our ancestors.

From the top, breathtaking views open onto Lake Sevan and the surrounding ranges and on clear days one can see for dozens of kilometers around. This place combines natural beauty, the breath of history and a sense of spiritual elevation. Climbing Armaghan is not only a physical adventure but also a deep journey toward peace. The mountain remains a symbol of harmony between humans and nature, inviting everyone to feel its power and mystery.
