In the emerald mountains of Tavush, hidden among forests and cliffs, lies Makaravank – a monastic complex that shines as one of the jewels of medieval Armenia. Its origins go back to the 12th-13th centuries, when master builders succeeded in blending architectural grandeur with the harmony of the surrounding landscape.
