Alexander Spendiaryan – an outstanding composer, conductor and the founder of symphonic music in Armenia – is a name forever tied to the birth of a new musical tradition. His legacy dazzles with artistic richness, bold experimentation and a diversity of genres. The peaks of his creativity include the opera "Almast", "Yerevan Etudes", "Crimean Sketches" and many other works that have become treasures of national art.
In 1967, the Spendiaryan House-Museum opened in Yerevan, in the very building where the composer spent the last years of his life. Today it carefully preserves manuscripts, letters and documents that reflect both his creative journey and his personal emotions. Each room seems to breathe with music, while everyday objects bring the Maestro's image to life, turning a visit into a personal encounter with the composer himself. The house is filled with the magic of his works: it feels as though the notes still linger in the air and the walls remember his inspiration.
The museum has become not only a guardian of memory but also a cultural center, hosting concerts and meetings that continue the tradition laid down by Spendiaryan himself. Immersing into this world, visitors discover the personality who gave Armenia its symphonic voice.
