Talin is one of the oldest settlements in the Aragatsotn region, where every stone seems to echo the distant past. Here one can find majestic medieval churches, finely carved khachkars, monuments and ruins of ancient structures that together create the unique atmosphere of an age-old town.

Among its many treasures, the Katoghike Church stands out as a true gem of Armenian architecture. Its construction dates back to the 7th century and is attributed to Nerses Kamsarakan, remembered in history as the "Builder of Churches". In its design, Katoghike bears a striking resemblance to the world-famous Zvartnots, which makes it especially valuable to scholars and admirers of early Armenian architecture.
