Martiros Sarian – one of the greatest colorists of the 20th century, a Master, who had given the world his life-asserting art glorifying nature, people and joy of life. His house-museum was opened on 26 of November, 1967. In our days the house-museum owns the largest collection of Sarian's works and remains the most famous center promoting his art worldwide. Only here one can see the first drawings and student works of Sarian, the most substantial collection of watercolors from "Fairy Tales and Dreams" cycle (1903-1907), also the very last graphic arts work and paintings. The museum is remarkable due to its collection of masterpieces created by Sarian under his impressions of Oriental trips, his poetical landscapes of Armenia, unique still-lives and portraits of the most prominent people of the 20th century.
