Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia and recipient of the "Movses Khorenatsi" medal, Lusik Aguletsi left behind a priceless legacy that preserved an entire world of Armenian traditions. A collector, writer and ethnologist, she was the only woman of her time who consistently appeared in public wearing the national taraz, turning each appearance into a living reminder of Armenia's ancient cultural beauty.
Throughout her life, Aguletsi gathered and safeguarded more than a thousand unique artifacts – from ornamented belts and jewelry to traditional costumes and carpets – dedicating her heart and energy to this mission. Today, her house-museum in Yerevan seems to bring the past to life, inviting visitors to step into the authentic atmosphere of old Armenia.
The interiors breathe history: every object bears the mark of its master, every detail tells a story of past aesthetics and daily life. The museum's special charm is enriched by Lusik's own paintings, created in her distinctive style and carrying forward the tradition of folk art. Everything here reflects her devotion to her roots and her love for Armenian culture.
A visit to the museum is more than an exhibition – it is a journey into a world where traditions awaken and turn into the poetry of objects.
