"Gourmet Dourme" is not just chocolate but an entire story about love for the sweet art that began in Armenia in 2007. The brand was founded by brothers Pierre and Diran Baghdadian, natives of France and Austria, who managed to combine European traditions with Armenian hospitality. Even the name reflects this union: the word "gourmet" means "epicure", while "dourme" translates as "chocolate".
The production is located in the town of Ashtarak in Aragatsotn province and in Yerevan there are branded shops where visitors can find a wide range of chocolate creations, from classic candies to exclusive gift sets and personalized treats.
The factory tour lasts about 30-40 minutes and turns into an engaging journey into the world of chocolate making: guests observe the process through a glass wall, hear the story of cocoa's origins and the craft's secrets and at the end taste the freshest chocolate. The atmosphere is filled with the aroma of cocoa and a touch of magic, as everything happening before the visitors' eyes is true artistry. "Gourmet Dourme" has long won the hearts of locals and tourists, becoming a symbol of modern Armenian chocolate production.
