Until the mid-20th century, the Caucasian deer was an inseparable part of Armenia's forests, inhabiting the northern, eastern and southern regions of the country. However, poaching and uncontrolled deforestation led to the complete disappearance of this noble animal from Armenian land. To restore this lost natural treasure, a special relocation program was launched in 2013.
Thanks to these efforts, today around 26 deer live freely and safely in the newly created park. The park quickly won the hearts of both locals and tourists, becoming a unique place to discover Armenia's wildlife. Children are especially delighted: they can not only observe these graceful animals but also feed them, turning the visit into an unforgettable adventure.
A walk through the park offers a sense of harmony and the chance to witness nature's gradual revival. Here the Caucasian deer symbolizes not only beauty and strength but also hope for preserving Armenia's natural heritage. This place has become a living example of how human care can bring back what was once lost.
