Hovhannes Sharambeyan – a talented Armenian, honored Artist of the Armenian SSR. Hovhannes Sharambeyan Centre of Popular Creation was founded in 2011, at the time when the Centre of People's Art and Crafts joined up with the Folk Art Museum after Hovhannes Sharambeyan. The centre aims to promote and preserve the tangible and intangible cultural heritage, including about 10 000 in total samples of art processing of metal, stone, wood, ceramics, lace, embroidery, rugs and carpets.
